Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs).

To view the answers, click on each question.

1. What type of screw barrels do I need?
The type of screw is crucial depending on your production materials. By type of screw, we mean the screw design, number of flights, flight pitch, etc. Additionally, attention should be paid to the L/D ratio (length to diameter ratio) of the screw barrels. The quality of the material used in the screw barrels is related to the wear of the production materials, where quality ranges from the best to acceptable levels can be mentioned as bimetallic, SPK, VCN, and MO40.
2. How long does it take to produce a screw barrels?
The minimum production time for screw barrels is divided into several categories based on the manufacturing stages. Depending on the size, production takes a minimum of 10 working days and a maximum of 21 working days. Albert Industrial Group has been able to deliver screw barrels within 3-1 working days with an innovative approach. Regarding special screw barrels, they can be obtained from their representative in China, which takes a minimum of 2 months from order to delivery, depending on customer's order.
3. How can screw barrels repair be done?
For using website design services or other reasons, repair may be needed due to breakage or wear. In the case of screw barrels breakage, depending on the type of breakage, it can be diagnosed by our experts. In the case of wear, it depends on the diameter of the wear after grinding, which may become larger depending on the capacity of the machine and put pressure on the hydraulic motor and practically cannot be repaired.
4. What are the warranty conditions for the products?
All of our products come with a warranty. The warranty period is 10-12 months and covers wear and tear (not breakage). Repairs are not covered by the warranty.
5. Is it possible to produce a new material with the current screw barrels?
Our recommendation for producing each type of screw is particularly for those materials. However, some materials require special nozzles and valve heads that must be changed. For example, if you are a PP manufacturer and want to produce PVC, the screw barrel must be changed. Also, L/D and material melting are very important. For example, for Pet production, we need a longer barrels.
6. Does the quality of steel affect product production?
No, the type of steel does not have much correlation with the quality of production unless the two steels (screw barrels) do not wear and produce excess heat together; otherwise, it does not have much impact. The next point in steel is its heat transfer capability, which must be considered in production. The material (steel) used has a direct relationship with the level of wear resistance; the higher the quality, the greater the wear resistance. Also, plating (hardening) in material quality and material deposition on the screw has a significant impact and should be taken seriously in production.
